James Ferguson is a founding Partner of the practice and oversees Technical Design, Quality Assurance, Finance and Business Development.

James graduated from the Duncan of Jordanstone School of Architecture.  He has worked for some of the Uks leading architecture firms, including Simpson & Brown, Law & Dunbar Nasmith, Andrew Black Design, Keppie Design, and haa design. In 2001 and 2002, James worked for one of Australia's premier firms, DesignInc International.

James has worked on many different buildings and building typologies.  Buildings of note are the refurbuishment of Edinburgh's Usher Hall, Greenwood Academy school in North Ayshire, Sydney's Federal Police building, and an RIBA award winning office development in Edinburgh.  James has a strong interest in sustainable and low energy architecture.
